This plaid accent plate is an offshoot of the Provence Noir collection and adds a little variety to the main French-toile-inspired fruit and flower pattern. A sweet gingham plaid print borders the rim of this plate, perpetuating the French countryside theme; however, the color scheme is black and tan on an ecru background, which infuses a bit of urban sophistication into the pattern. A black and tan woven rope design encircles the outside edge of the plaid border on this 10-3/4-inch plate while another tan rope design lines the inner edge.
This plate is part of Royal Doulton’s casual Studio line, which is built to handle the rigors of everyday use.
